HISTORY MAKER

TEXT: ACTS 15: 25, 26: “It seemed good unto us, being assembled with one accord, to send chosen men unto you with our beloved Barnabas and Paul, Men that have hazarded their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

It takes risks making to be a good entrepreneur
-         History makers are the goers
-         They are the risk takers for Christ
-         In going only can you make history.

8 THINGS THAT WILL NOT VANISH WITH THE PASSING GENERATIONS IN HISTORY:

1.     Man’s word-seed: Be it good or bad – it becomes quotation after you.
2.     The praise of man: Be it good or bad. It goes down the book of records.
3.     The Testimony of man: It will reverberates long after you have gone
4.     The name of man. It is a portrait of legacy for the latecomers.
-         The mentioning could either give (a) Life or (b) Death
5.     The work of man either good or bad: It is a leftover/Faith factory, which keeps making disciples after man’s death.
6.     The zeal of man either good or bad: holds high your picture for the world to come
7.     Anointing you carried during your lifetime: it becomes a P.O.D (point of discussion)
8.     Inspiration of man: it becomes faith propeller after you die.

HISTORY IS WRITTEN IN FOUR FORMS.

1.     Some are written in ink: for people to see and for a brief reference e.g. Methuselah Gen. 5:25-27.
2.     Some are written on the dust of the earth: This connotes –
         a.     Impart <<path of achievement>> left for the latecomers.
         b.     A buried glory, mission unfulfilled, and death before glory.
You need to pray to God – no death before my glory.
Heb. 11:39-40:  I am an object of fulfillment i.e. history maker.
3.     Some are engraved on the rocks.
-         This depicts solid and rugged committed life while on earth.
-         Theirs last longer than the former two in history.
®   People whose testimonies, messages and acts span through a thousand generation. E.g.

  •  Moses – the greatest Prophet in history.
  • Samson – the strongest man in history
  • Solomon – The richest and wisest king in history.
  • Edward Jonathan Message – “sinner in the hand of an angry God”
  • What of Charles G. Finney? – The Prince of Evangelists
  • Smith Wigglesworth – Apostle of faith and dead raiser
  • Talk of Kathryn kulman – Mother of anointing
  • Ben Idahosa – The greatest Apostle ever risen in Africa
  • Ayo Babalola – Apostle of prayer. etc.
  • What of you?
  • With what shall your history be written?

4.     Some are Written with Blood:
-         Don’t forget that the life of the flesh is in the blood.
-         This group is noted God’s generals.
-         The God’s field marshal
-         Those laying down their lives for the sake of gospel preaching.
-         Those entering into the dark Zebulon and Naphtali for a soul to be won, even if it causes them the last drop of blood in their reins
-         Such history will remain green till the world cease to exist

COUNSEL TO A WOULD BE HISTORY MAKER:

If you are a goer, field-marshal, or God’s general, it is expected of you to work towards achieving excellence in life and in ministry. You must leave a legacy for the coming generations. Read Palms. 78: 6-11. Why?
    1.     V6. That the generation to come might know you
    2.     And Set their hopes in God
    3.     V7. Not forget God’s work
    4.     Keep his commandment
    5.     And might not be as their idol worshiping fathers V8-11.

    1.     My life shall never be a waste

The Glory and The Power His Death Bought for us
