When someone says, I’m a Muslim, don’t be quick to turn
your back on him. Not all of them are bad. They will listen to you if you come to
them with truth and not the fake teaching circulating around.
A few points to have in mind are these:
1.
The Koran is their principal “holy book.” The
true ones among them will agree that the Bible is God’s Word, but they believe
that it is superseded by the Koran.
2.
They believe that there is only one true God.
3.
They say that Jesus was one of the prophets, as
was Muhammad, and that Muhammad (who lived between the years 570-632 CE/AD was
the comforter foretold by Jesus. They believe Muhammad was the last and most
important prophet.
4.
They strongly believe that God has no son.
GAINING ATTENTION:
according Reasoning from the Scriptures Watchtower Bible and Tract Society
of New York INC 1985, 1987 pub. Pg. 24. You must create a common ground.
The only way to share the Gospel of truth with the Muslim
is to create atmosphere where the only Bible truth and true Christianity is
presented as it is. This can be done through the following ways:
1.
Discuss the problems that we both suffer in life
regardless of religious affiliate and show him the immediate/future solutions
to each from the Holy Scripture. Only make reference to relevance verses you
know in the Koran. You are to use bible. They want to see it.
2.
You could say: I do not believe in Christendom’s
Trinity. I worship the one true God, the creator of heaven and earth. Note: If the doctrine of trinity is
what you carry to evangelism ground sorry you are a looser. Trinity as taught
in the churches of Christendom today is exactly as set up in Babylon religious
worship, beliefs and practices. (Yes there is God. There is Jesus and there is
Holy Spirit. I too believe them. But doctrine built up around them in most
churches shared same etymology and formation with Babylonian Worship. More on
this later.) No Muslim will listen to such “doctrine
of men wisdom”
3.
Ask if they believe that Jesus is a prophet just
like Moses was. If they answer yes, they add this: it means what he (Jesus)
said is from God and if other teachings do not agree with it, they must be from
another source, is that not so? Once he/she agrees to this truth, then use only
statements made by Jesus (or Moses) as a basis for further discussion.
REACTION: if
they make strong assertions concerning their beliefs, it can be beneficial to
ask them, tactfully, to show you the point in the Koran, sura (chapter) and
verse. (Wait while they search for it.) When they are unable to find it, some
give evidence of greater willingness to listen to what you show them in the
Bible.

TAKING ACTION:
After laying the foundation as stated above, now you may start by pointing out
from the Bible the following:

1. What
God said to Moses about His name and Being (Exo.3:15, Deut. 6:4-5.
2. Talk
about the suffering and fate of the human in the hands of human and the
solution lies in the coming kingdom of God.
3. If
they asked you about your view regarding the comforter, you can point out how
Jesus spoke of it, showing that it is not a physical person and that he would
remind his disciples of all things that Jesus had taught them, rather than
introduce a new religion (John 14:16, 26 Acts 1:8).
4. If
the objection is raised that God cannot have a son, you mind endeavour to
reason on the matter. God having a Son does not mean that he had sexual
relations with a wife. But God is the Creator. Since He gives life to those that
he creates, can He not refer to Himself as their Father? He speaks of His very
own first creation as His Son. He calls the angels sons of God, and he refers
to Adam as his son. Why? Because he gave them life.
How did Mary conceive Jesus? Not by sexual relations with
God, as the Bible says (and was confirmed in Koran), it was by means of the
Holy Spirit, the same spirit gave used in creation.
